LGBT pride

June 2014 is now officially Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month, according to President Barack Obama!

The President says it best:

As progress spreads from State to State, as justice is delivered in the courtroom, and as more of our fellow Americans are treated with dignity and respect -- our Nation becomes not only more accepting, but more equal as well. During Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month, we celebrate victories that have affirmed freedom and fairness, and we recommit ourselves to completing the work that remains.

As we continue to move towards a more equal and accepting society, myTaT is here to support your identity, no matter your orientation. There are still many obstacles left in this fight – work-place discrimination, violence against the LGBT community, health and benefit disparities – and it is incredibly reassuring the national spotlight is being shined on these extremely important issues in light. Progress has been made in the 45 years since the Stonewall Inn riots, but there is still much left to accomplish.

President Obama’s proclamation urges each of us to speak for “tolerance, justice, and dignity -- because if hearts and minds continue to change over time, laws will too.”

myTaT supports the fight for equality and we are committed to standing up to injustice towards the LGBT community. You can show off your ally status too with a temporary tattoo from our PRIDE collection. Your personal orientation does not matter - it’s about supporting equal rights for all.
